Pukapuka

Pukapuka, one of the islands of the Tuamotu-Gambier chain, is part of French Polynesia and has a post code of 98 774. It has a population of 175 and is 800 hectres in area.

Pukapuka is a small atoll, the capital of which is Teonemahina, on the west side of the island. This little atoll is very isolated leads a peacful life and gets visitors rarely. It was originally found by Europeans in 1520 by Magellan, and later by the Dutch, who called it "The Island of Dogs".
